That was the theme of this year’s Forward Conference, hosted by the one and only @neelhome.
Every year feels like a reunion with friends from across North America. The relationships, conversations, and caliber of speakers are always next level.
This year’s surprise guest was my favorite: @leilahormozi.
One lesson hit me exactly when I needed it:
Stop overthinking and start executing!
The most dangerous person in the room isn’t the one with the best ideas. It’s the one willing to execute despite uncertainty.
That’s why I keep coming back to Forward.
It’s the kind of event that reminds you to stop playing small, raise your standards, and build the business and the life you know you’re capable of.
21 years ago, we met on a dance floor at a club. Who knew we’d still be dancing through life together all these years later!!!

I used to measure success in transactions. Today, I measure it in moments.
Today Bryce headed back to college after coming home for a quick Fourth of July.
Watching him leave reminded me how much my definition of success has changed.
There was a time when I measured success by production, awards, stages and growth.
Today, I still believe in building great businesses.
I just believe the reward for building one should be having the freedom to be present for the people you love.
That’s why I’m passionate about building better.
Not because I want to work less.
Because I want to miss less.

Some of my favorite moments had nothing to do with business. Watching my boys chase their dreams, investing in myself, spending time with family, and being reminded that the best opportunities aren’t always the ones you say yes to.
I’m learning that building a bigger business means nothing if you don’t build a bigger life alongside it.

Brad has never missed a beat. From coaching our boys from day one to showing up for every game, practice, milestone, and moment that matters, he has always been there.
He pushes them, challenges them, believes in them, and loves them fiercely. There is truly nothing he wouldn’t do for @brycequinet and @brexquinet .
The older I get, the more I realize that great fathers aren’t defined by one big moment, they’re defined by showing up consistently, day after day.
Our boys are who they are because of the example they see every day.
