What if it turns out better than you imagined?

After more than 20 years in business, I’d be lying if I told you I don’t still get scared.

I do.

I have fears.
I second-guess myself. I get uncomfortable.

But there’s also a part of me that keeps asking…
What if?
What if this is exactly what I’ve been wanting?
What if the uncomfortable part is actually pulling me into my next chapter?

I’m entering an era where I’m willing to explore new things.

Say yes to things that scare me.

Build things I’ve never built before.
And give myself permission to want something different.

Because I know my kids are watching.

I can’t keep telling them to play bigger, bet on themselves, and go after what they really want if I’m not willing to do the same.

Maybe courage isn’t about not being scared.
Maybe it’s being scared and going anyway.

Because I’d rather find out what’s on the other side than look back one day and wonder what would’ve happened if I had gone for it.

So instead of asking…
What if it doesn’t work?

I’m asking:
What if it turns out even better than I imagined?

You never regret showing up for the people who matter.

Making time for relationships that have lasted through different seasons.

And pouring into people whenever you have the opportunity.

There will always be another meeting, another goal, another thing to chase.

Looking back at August, I realized how many of these moments almost didn’t happen because I almost talked myself out of them.

I couldn’t even get on a flight home at one point.
I questioned the timing.
I overthought more than I probably needed to.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to have it all figured out and just went for it.

Funny enough, those ended up being some of the best parts of the month.

I think we spend so much time waiting to feel ready or to have clarity when sometimes you just need to put yourself in the room and see what happens.

August was a good reminder of that.

Go. Do the thing. Adjust if you need to.
Get in the room. Take on the opportunity.
